This central heated, fully furnished superior self-catering property briefly comprises

   All bed linen and towels are supplied.  Initial supply of fuel for the open fire is included, further supplies are available locally.

To the rear of the property is a secure, sheltered, south-facing garden with open garage along with parking for two cars.  There is a patio table with matching chairs.

Located in the picturesque village of Aberlour, the cottage is 30m from the famous River Spey and Speyside Way.  At 98 miles long, the River Spey is Scotland’s second longest river.  The Speyside Way runs from Aviemore to Buckie and is 84 miles long and is one of only four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland.

Aberlour is home to fine whisky - 18 distilleries inside a 10-mile radius www.maltwhiskytrail.com, salmon and Walkers shortbread.  Aberlour is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday and within easy travelling distance of the beaches and dolphins on Moray coast and the Cairngorm mountains for skiing.

Within Aberlour is a well stocked and sensibly priced Co-Op supermarket, cycle hire, two banks and a post office, a pharmacy, a delicatessen offering some of the best produce from local suppliers and further afield, a takeaway shop offering fish and chips and other takeaway meals, a high class butcher, saddler and ironmonger, fishing tackle shop, several gift shops and high quality ladies’ wear, several pubs and eateries catering for all palates and prices, a filling station and Walkers bakery shop.  (Walkers also have a factory shop where you can buy shortbread and biscuits in bulk bags.)

Speyside High School/Community Centre has a swimming pool which is open to the public at varying times of the day.  Carpet bowls and badminton are also available at the Centre.

Salmon fishing can be arranged by visiting www.fishspey.co.uk and day tickets can be purchased from J A J Munro on the High Street, book early to avoid disappointment!  The River Spey provides excellent sport for the novice and seasoned angler alike and lessons for all standards of anglers can be arranged.

The nearby Glenlivet Crown Estate is host to a wide range of outdoor pursuits.  Clay pigeon shooting, skiing, riding and reindeer safari are all available at different times of the year www.glenlivetestate.co.uk
